About the Show
The Sutherland Agricultural Show has been a yearly highlight since 1951, celebrating the strength and diversity of Scotland’s largest county. Spanning from the Atlantic Ocean to the North Sea and stretching from the far northern coast to the Dornoch Firth, Sutherland’s varied landscapes and climates are reflected in its thriving agriculture and rural industries.
What to Expect
The Main Ring will feature a lively programme including performances from the Ardross Pipe Band, an impressive working sheepdog demonstration, a vintage vehicle parade, children’s sports, terrier races and, of course, the judging of livestock and the grand parade of champions. Away from the ring, visitors can enjoy a traditional funfair and learn more about rural life in the farming education tent. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, the Sutherland Show promises a full day of entertainment for all ages.
**Location:**
The Sutherland Showground is located on Dornoch Links, just north of the airstrip. Take the A949 into Dornoch from the A9 and continue to the 'T' junction at the end of The Square. Turn right onto Church Street and follow the road for 400 meters. Just past the last building on the right, turn right into the showground approach.
